Adobe Illustrator Portrait of Dave Crowe
This portrait is a tribute to my father who passed this year. He was an incredibly charismatic person, and lived an interesting life.
For this class assignment the goal was to choose an illustration style and a picture to use as a reference to create a portrait using Adobe Illustrator. I found some styles I liked, set up my mood board and got to work! It was a wonderful process as I am a painter at heart. Being able to do something so painterly without any of the fuss and mess of real paint was a delightful experience. This is definitely something I plan on doing again.

As I experimented with the tools in AI, I was able to incorporate my personal style within the limitations of the program. I am pleased with the results and love how it turned out.
